Lake Gaston Water Levels

From the LGA: Due to current and expected rainfall levels from Tropical Storm Andrea, The LGA has been informed that we are once again in Flood Operations mode at Kerr Reservoir and Lake Gaston. This raises our allowable Lake Gaston water levels to 203 feet. However, we have been assured by Dominion that levels will remain at or near the current level of 200.5 feet and are not expected to exceed 201 feet. We are expected to remain in flood operations until sometime next week when we will return to spawning operations and an allowable level of 201 feet. Spawning operations will end on June 15, when we will return to a maximum level of 200 feet. Please remember that even at our current lake levels, any loose items may be washed off your dock, and boats should be raised in lifts or securely tied if not in a lift. You are asked to also be conscious of your wakes when operating near the shoreline as this may cause unnecessary damage to bulkheads and shorelines. Al Potter LGA President
